Audio to picture
Well-fitted and professional sounding audio to picture, whether it's video or film, is indispensable for a professional product. If something sounds bad (too dull, too sharp, too soft, too loud), if there is unwanted noise or interference in the sound, if speech is not lip-sync with the picture, if sound FX comes too early or too late, etc..., you will hear it immediately. It takes a lot of experience and a thorough knowledge of acoustics to work in sync with image. How does something sound in the room you can see on the picture? What is the position of the spectator? Is he a mere spectator or is he part of the action? These are just a few of the things that should be taken care of to eventually achieve a lifelike result that tells the story perfectly.
I have a lot of experience with these issues because I spent a lot of time working for animated movies. Because, unlike live picture with live set sound and voices, in animated movies you start with absolute silence and you have to create everything you hear from scratch. You have to place it in the space that the picture is dictating you

Delta Music Belgium has everything in place to merge sound and image into
a professional sounding end product.
We work with AVID Pro Tools | HDX hardware and Pro Tools | Ultimate software
for perfect synchronization between image and sound, and we have extensive
sound libraries for sonorisation. If we don't have a sound ready to use,
there is the studio to record it in the best conditions, immediately synchronized
with the image, if necessary.
The mixing can be done, be monitored and delivered in stereo (2.0 and 2.1) or in 5.1 surround. The end result in 5.1 surround can be delivered as uncompressed audio (BWAV) or decoded as Dolby Digital (48 kHz) for DVD and on request also as Dolby True HD for Blu-ray Disc (24 bit - 96 kHz). Also DTS encoding is possible. But in practice these conversions are usually performed by the company that makes the DVD and/or Blu-ray Disc masters.
Practical info
No image editing is done, just sonorisation and sound FX design, ADR if necessary and of course the mixing itself.
Post production is handled on a project basis within a predetermined budget. The projects we do are mostly educational and artistic productions and not very commercially oriented. Examples are non-profit educational videos and non-profit commercials, graduation works of students at film schools (with a preference for animated movies), artistic author films and the better corporate movie but without being a commercial advertising movie.
