Genelec - GLM controlled Smart Active Monitor (SAM) System
Networked Smart Active Monitor (SAM) Systems feature automatic calibration to the environment. Genelec advanced SAM Systems are today’s most advanced and flexible monitoring solutions. They are controlled by the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software.

The main monitor system is connected to Pro Tools HDX via digital AES/EBU cabling. The 7360A SAM Studio Subwoofers use a dedicated AES/EBU processor so 16 channels of digital audio can be connected for 9.1.6 monitoring ( 15 channels + the LFE channel):
Genelec - 9301B Multichannel AES/EBU Interface

All SAM configurations are calibrated by AutoCal 2 that is integrated the GLM software with adjustments of levels, distance delays, subwoofer crossover phase and room response compensation equalisation. The GLM software is permanently active on a dedicated Apple MacBook Air allowing on the fly selection of SAM system configurations with real-time transmission of all calibration data to all selected SAM monitors via the GLM network.

Monitoring controllers
Genelec - Genelec Loudspeaker Manager - GLM 4
